Action for Social and Educational Development Association ( ASEDA) was registered as an NGO under the Karnataka Society Registration Act 1960 on 10-02-1988. Our oragnization believes in self-help development system, which means, that unless with involvement of individuals of their own development, the development will not sustain. Based on this ASEDA identified the real target group / beneficiaries through participatory methodology by involving the villagers. The identified beneficiaries motivated and they have formed into groups called Self-Help groups (SHG’s). Totally 22 women SHG’s, 10 Farmers groups and 10 youth groups are functioning. The organization identified, committed youths and provided various trainings. So far we reached more than 4000+ beneficiaries.
Our organization envisions towards promoting social and economic empowerment of women and child development.
To identify the real target group / beneficiaries through participatory methodology by involving the villagers and providing training to the women such that they are placed and lead a happy tomorrow.

Awearness About Santhwana center
The above picture is related to the programme conducted to the Anganwadi and Asha workers at Gowribidanur Town, given information about the Santhwana kendra work pattern and Violence against Women at home, society etc., In this programme totally 35 participants were attended.

Free legal service authority chikkaballapura, Dist.childprotection officer and Binu vergees bachapan bachavo andolan Bangaloru were attended and Anganavadi taeachers law students and Childrens care institutions heads are participate.in this Training. total 220 pepoles were paticipate.

Jagruthi Vedhike Meetings - 2
In Melya village, J.V. members complained to the factory owner about air pollution. Now the factory management has taken initiative to conduct the regular Health check-up camps in Melya and other villages of Melya panchayath. In Gangasandra village, by the intervention/complaint given by the J.V., the selling of alcohol illegally in petti shops and in the houses was stopped. In Mudulodu G.P., New Anganwadi building was sanctioned in Maniwala village,,the subject was discussed and resolved in the J.V meeting and given representation to the G.P.. Also new road was built in Maniwala village. In Somanahalli there is not drinking water facility in Govt Higher primary school, but in the J.V. meeting Rajani promised to get this sanctioned. Now she personally took initiative and got the drinking water facilty. In Ganganahalli, Somenahalli, G.P. J.V. members complained to the THO that Asha workers were not performing their duty in the village. The issue was resolved.

Counselling to parents to resolve the deceived issue .This was to create awareness among the rural part so as to how important resolve the issues that are being raised on the society. Jagrithi Vedhike (J.V.) activities - Active Intervention by ASEDA
1. In the Somenahalli Anganwadi center, there was a misutilization of food by the Anganwadi worker. On intervention by ASEDA J.V. members, it has been stopped. 2. The construction of the new Anganwadi building was completed in Dapparthi village. Classes are being conducted now in the new building. 3. By the intervention of J.V. members, 5 beneficiaries got the sanction for ration cards. 4. In Beechaganahalli village, there was no good road. By the representations given by the J.V., now a C.C. road has been constructed. 5. In Gowribidanur taluk, Madhugiri G.P., the J.V. members offered counseling to the parents of the girl who ran away from home. They successfully got an FIR lodged. 6. In Mudugere village, the J.V. members complained on behalf of women against the domestic violence by their husband and children.
ASEDA's Block level meetings of Elected Women Representatives (EWRs)
ASEDA convenes EWRs meetings with Taluka officials to build rapport. During these programmes, the EWRs became aware of different programmes launched by the departments like Social Welfare, Animal husbandry and Executive office. They placed issues in their respective villages.
Need based workshops
Federation block meeting of ASEDA resolved to conduct Jamabhandhi. Memorandum was submitted to E.O. In Gowribidanur taluk after submitting the memorandum, Jamabhandhi was conducted in 13 Grama Panchayats - Gangasandra, Namagodlu, D.Palya, Mudalodu, Mudugere, Kurudi, Kodagadala, Puravara, Byalya, Kadagathuru, Somenahalli, Hampasandra and Dapparthi.
Smt Gayitri Devi
She has studied up to PUC, working in Gowribidanur taluk as a social worker for 30 years, she helped the women in several respects like providing shelter in destitute women centers (gruha), she also got sanction of some rural houses to the rural poor through our Association getting from Government. She is involved in women empowerment for 15 years as well as providing skill training to women in tailoring, she is a very committed social worker, participating in all events in the association like during the implementation of our Association programs. Participated in National Festivals/programs like International Women's Day. To her best performance in the Women Empowerment, she got the "Kitturu Rani Chennamma Award" from the Government of Karnataka.
He is the Founder of the Association in 1988 with like-minded people. He is a good social worker who completed his Degree in 1975. Since 1975 he is doing social work in Gowribidanur Taluk and also working in ASEDA, Preparing projects, planning, and Implementation. Internal Evaluation. Since the inception of the association, he has implemented many numbers of programs successfully, For the "Empowerment of Women in Local Governance", he worked with the Hunger project America from 2002 to 2018. There are 100 SHG groups formed by him, giving linkages to Banks to avail loans. Provided skill training like Radio and T.V. to the rural unemployed graduates. For the best work in rural development(social work) awarded him from taluk level administration. Now he is holding some responsible posts in the government like working as a director of childline Chikkaballapura, member child welfare committee, and a member of several other Dist. level committees formed by the Deputy Commissioner.
Mrs.Sowbhagya belongs to Kadalaveni village of Gowribidanur Taluk, she is also an EX member, Kadalaveni Grama panchayath, formed 10 Self Help groups, in her village, it leads to getting self-sufficient of more than 200 women/families, she also done efforts to get financial support from District Central Cooperative Bank Gowribidanur, as a loan for a tune of Rs.2 to 4 lakhs without interest. She also supports the women in several aspects like Domestic Violence, Pensions for Widows, Old Age Pensions, and Individual loans to the women to get self-employment to start their businesses, she is a good social worker, and she also supports women in other besides villages cases like Medical aid for Pregnant women during Delivery, she will be assisting to the poor family to get medical facilities at free of cost by doing advocacy and lobby with the Government machinery/Officials. She is also the president of the Human rights union in Chikkaballapura District, women wing.
Renukamma, Gundlahallil Gowribidanur Taluk. She is a social worker, working for the cause of women and children, like children who need care and protection(single parents), and women who were affected by Domestic violence, she helped Widows, Aged persons, by getting a sanction of pensions from the department by doing advocacy and lobby. She also got some awards from the Government as well as from the Private sector for her best service in Rural Development, Empowering Women, etc., by supporting financial aspects, formation of SHG groups availed loans from the Banks to them. It leads to getting more women employed. She got the following awards from the different sectors for her best service is as follows: 1. Kitturu chennamma Award for women Empowerment, from Taluk level Administration 2. Progressive Agriculturist(women), from District level Administration, Agri. Dept. 3. Kayaka Bandhu award for a Best social worker.
Ms.Bharathamma, completed PUC, residing at Rayarekalahalli village, Gowribidanur Taluk. She hails from a good Agricultural Family. She is a good Social worker as well as a trainer in Beautician. She has given training to poor women and Adolescent girls 100. Now they become self-sufficient. Now she held a President's post in Women's Milk dairy. Through this, she has supported 25 women to get self-employed by availing loans for purchasing mulching animals. And she has also been very active in social work for 5 years.
Bhagyamma is the director of our organization. She has completed SSLC. She is a good social worker working towards the cause of Malnutrition, immunization to children, getting benefits to pregnant women, and availing some benefits from the concerned departments.
Gayathri, Ramapura village Gowribidanur Taluk she has studied up to SSLC, a good social worker, and a good skill trainer, giving training to women in Tailoring, bag making, etc., She is a member of Mahila Mandal in Ramapura, she is engaged in social like blood donation campaigns, organizing free health campaigns, etc.,
